solitude.

my bff sarah & i went on a hike early friday morning.
she told me about a trail up at solitude.
so we packed our snacks & headed out before anyone
had to time even think about heading up the trail.

it was beautiful.
2 miles straight up the mountain side & 2 miles down.

i think we're going to make it a regular event.
there's just something about being outside,
 in the fresh air,
in the early morning.
do you like hiking?

Wow I love that last picture - so gorgeous! I have never been a huge fan of hiking, but after a vacation to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons this summer, I have to say I enjoy it a little more. It's really fun just being outside with my husband!

Wow- the lake photos are gorgeous! What a nice spot. I like hiking so much- not even nasty gnats and mosquitos can stop me!

Looks like quite a lovely time! I'm a huge fan of hiking, either solo or with my hubby and puppy. Morning hikes truly are the best way to start the day - with a little exercise, fresh air, and greenery all around! Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos!

I love the scenery!! Is that really know on that mountain? Here in AZ we are still having triple digit weather.

I really do love to hike and wish I had more time to spend time outdoors. I hope that after next year I could have a bit more time on my hands and do some things I enjoy. In the meantime I will enjoy these pictures and just imagine what it would be like to be there.

I like hiking if it's not tooo strenuous. Otherwise I huff and puff and get cranky. But if I'm with enough friends to distract me, it's great!

Thanks for following me, just followed yours.

Those pictures are beautiful! You sure are lucky to have that kind of scenery AND weather to hike. In Louisiana, its way too hot! And as long as it doesnt involve camping- I'm game for any day trip with hiking
